Roll Forging Machine
A roll forging machine is a compact mechanical device used for forging metal, primarily employed in the pre-forging and final shaping of forged parts. It achieves the desired forging by plastically deforming metal blanks through two counter-rotating sector molds.
The working principle of the Hongjie roll forging machine is based on roll forging technology, a novel process that introduces longitudinal rolling into the forging industry and has evolved over time. It utilizes the principles of rolling formation to gradually deform the blanks, offering advantages such as a simple mechanical structure, smooth production, low vibration and noise, ease of automation, and high production efficiency.
The structural design of the roll forging machine typically employs a double-column support mechanism, where the upper and lower forging rollers rotate through the support of two frames. Replaceable roll forging molds can be installed between the upper and lower rollers to shape the workpiece. The center distance and angle of the forging rollers can be flexibly adjusted using mechanical arms to accommodate different mold gaps and angular requirements.

Product advantages
Compared to fully automatic roll forging machines, semi-automatic roll forging machines have some distinct differences:
Flexible Operation: Semi-automatic roll forging machines allow for faster and more flexible adjustments during mold changes and parameter settings due to manual involvement. Operators can quickly identify and address minor issues based on their experience, unlike fully automatic machines, which may require complex program adjustments and longer debugging times.
Immediate Response: For small-batch, multi-variety production tasks, semi-automatic roll forging machines can switch between products more quickly. For instance, when trial-producing new products or making minor improvements, manual adjustments to molds and parameters can be made instantly. In contrast, fully automatic machines may require programming or modifications, leading to longer preparation times.
Exception Handling: In case of unexpected situations during production, such as blank jamming or minor mold damage, operators of semi-automatic machines can immediately stop the machine and address the issue. On the other hand, fully automatic machines may need to detect the problem through sensors, analyze it via the control system, and then execute commands, which could result in some delay in response.
Material Adaptability: For irregularly shaped or special-material blanks, the manual loading process of semi-automatic roll forging machines allows operators to make appropriate adjustments and positioning, ensuring better entry into the roll forging molds and reducing production interruptions or scrap rates caused by blank issues. Fully automatic machines may have stricter requirements for blank shape and size, potentially requiring more preparation and adjustments for such special blanks.
Cost Advantage: Semi-automatic roll forging machines are more affordable compared to fully automatic ones, making them more suitable for small and medium-sized enterprises.
