(1) Horizontal, vertical and inclined roll forging machines
General roll forging machine adopts horizontal direction feeding, roller shaft up and down arrangement, called horizontal roll forging machine. This roll forging machine can be operated on both sides of the front and back, easy to enter and exit materials, suitable for roll forging small and medium blank and forgings, is the main structure of the existing roll forging machine.
When the two forging rolls are arranged horizontally and the blank is fed in the vertical direction, the roll forging machine is called the vertical roll forging machine, which is suitable for the blank or forging of the roll forging specialty.
When there are special requirements for the roller forging, the plane where the center line of the two forging forging is arranged at a 45° Angle with the horizontal surface, the blank is fed through the inclined bottom, and the forging after the roll forging returns to the receiving table by its own weight. This type of roll forging machine is called the inclined roll forging machine, which is suitable for the work of the assembly line.
(2) cantilever type, double support type and compound roll forging machine
① cantilever roll forging machine. The working part of the forging roll of the roll forging machine is hanging out of the frame to facilitate the installation and disassembly and replacement of the forging die, especially for the installation and disassembly and replacement of the ring die. Under the same forging roll diameter condition, it can roll forging longer than the double support roll forging machine, the reason is that the ring roll working Angle can reach 240° ~ 270°. The cantilever roll forging machine can install 2 ~ 3 forging dies at the same time, which can be flexibly operated in front of the machine, on the left and right of the machine, and can complete the long drawing process of bad materials, but it is most suitable for completing the broadening process. Because of the poor rigidity of the cantilever roll forging machine, it is often used for billet making and die forging equipment to form production lines. The frame of the cantilever roll forging machine is mostly cast with cast iron material into a whole or separate type. In order to increase the strength and stiffness of the cantilever part of the forging roll, a tie rod device with special structure is installed, and a bearing and adjusting mechanism are equipped to adapt to the working condition of the forging roll and form a double support state.
② The working part of the forging roll of the double-supported forging machine is supported by the bearing between the two upright frames, and the forging roll has a large stiffness, which can be used for forming roll forging or cold roll forging, and sometimes for billet making. The forging roll can be used to install 4 ~ 6 forging dies in the length at the same time. Usually the mold is made into a fan, the maximum envelope Angle is not more than 180°. In recent years, for some longer forgings, it is necessary to use a ring forging roll, and the working Angle of the forging die can also be increased to 270°. In some large specifications (the nominal diameter of the forging die is more than 800mm), a separate driving mechanism is installed on the double support roll forging machine, so that the outer frame can be separated from the two forging rolls along the base track for a certain distance, and the ring forging die can be easily put on or removed. The structure is more complex and limited to roll forging longer forgings.
By extending the upper forging roll of the double support roll forging machine out of the frame, equipping the crank slider mechanism, setting the table and installing the mold, it can become a multi-function roll forging machine to complete the punching, cutting, bending and cutting processes. It can also be equipped with a crank rocker mechanism to drive the feed motion of the roll forging manipulator, and a hydraulic system to complete the automatic operation of roll forging.
Due to the large force, the frame of double back-up roll forging machine is mostly made of cast steel or welded steel plate, and adopts the integral closed frame or double round hole integral structure. In order to facilitate processing and manufacturing, the large-size roll forging machine adopts the combined frame structure, which is divided into the upper beam, the column and the workbench, and then the pull rod is pre-tightened.
The structure of the composite roll forging machine has the characteristics of both cantilever type and double support type, and the performance and superiority of both, and the versatility is strong. The forging roll of the compound forging roll machine is composed of two parts, the working part of the forging roll between the double support frame is called the inner roll, and the part hanging outside the frame is the outer roll. The inner and outer rollers are driven by a transmission system.
Compound roll forging machine is suitable for mass production of forgings, in one machine can be simultaneously billet and forming process, 3~4 pairs of forging dies can be installed on the inner roll, 2 ~ 3 pairs of forging dies can be installed on the outside. Such as thin sheet shape hoe forgings, need to be first transverse broadening, and then longitudinal extension of the process, forging on this machine is the most reasonable.
