Recently, the "2024 Forging Automation Technology and Application Training Program," organized by the Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry and hosted by Yadao Education and Training Service Center, successfully commenced in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province. The training aimed to enhance the automation level of China's forging industry, support enterprises in their transformation and upgrading, and improve market competitiveness.

The training program was held from August 21 to 23, 2024, at the Licheng Shuguangwei Hotel in Wuxi. During the event, nearly 40 representatives from 30 forging companies, equipment manufacturers, technical experts, and scholars from across the country gathered to exchange the latest developments and applications of forging automation technology.

Over the two-day training session, participants delved into the implementation and optimization of forging automation, including fundamental principles, comparisons between retrofitting old equipment and implementing entirely new automated solutions, the retrofitting process, and the production process of fully automated solutions. Additionally, participants gained a deeper understanding of the application of step beam and articulated robot automation in the production of transmission shaft forgings. This included discussions on the design and application of multi-station step beam automated forging lines for hot die forging presses, and the design and application of articulated robot automated forging lines for electric screw presses. Furthermore, an in-depth discussion was held on the implementation and application of automated forging production lines, as well as important considerations during the practical application of forging automation technology. Through the sharing of multiple case studies and analysis of technical key points, participants gained a more comprehensive understanding of the application of forging automation technology.

The training program not only invited several experts and scholars with extensive experience and expertise in the field of forging automation to give lectures but also provided hands-on case studies and interactive sessions. This allowed participants to gain a more intuitive understanding of the practical application of the technology and potential challenges they might face. After the training, participants expressed that they had gained a great deal from the program and had a more comprehensive understanding and mastery of forging automation technology.
