From August 15 to 16, 2024, the second seminar on the group standard "Management Specification for Recycled Material of Deformed Superalloys for Aerospace Applications," organized by the Standard Working Committee of the Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry and jointly led by Beijing CISRI-Gaona Materials & Technology Co., Ltd., AVIC Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd., and China Aviation Technology International Holdings Co., Ltd., was successfully held at China Aviation Superalloy Materials Co., Ltd.
The meeting was attended by 30 representatives from 23 organizations, including engine manufacturers, metallurgical plants, forging factories, and related supporting units.
The seminar was chaired by Sun Jiaojiao, Secretary of the Standard Working Committee of the Confederation of Chinese Metalforming Industry, and Luo Zhiqiang, Senior Engineer at CISRI-Gaona, who provided an in-depth explanation of the standard. During the meeting, a technical discussion on the second draft of the standard was conducted item by item. Consensus was reached on the grading method for recycled material, the risk points and control measures in the generation process of recycled material were refined, and a detailed typical atlas for the grading and classification of recycled material will be formulated. The discussion unified opinions and achieved consensus on the recycling and utilization of recycled material, laying a solid foundation for the classification, recovery, and scientific application of recycled deformed superalloy materials. The expert review meeting for this standard is expected to be held in October 2024.
